El Museo del Barrio’s 40th Annual Three Kings Day Parade

(January 6, 2017)
Three Kings Day observances in East Harlem kicked off with El Museo’s annual parade. This year’s event celebrated “the parade’s long trajectory history and roots by honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the Latino community.”

El Museo del Barrio’s 40th Annual Three Kings Day Parade was followed by other celebrations, later in the day. They included a gathering organized by PRIDA, Comité Noviembre, and the Hispanic Federation at the Julia De Burgos Cultural Center. Another was held at the El Barrio’s Artspace PS109.

Three Kings Day, or Epiphany, is one of the most important holidays throughout Latin America, The Caribbean and the USA.
