New York City’s 44th Annual Village Halloween Parade, dubbed ‘Cabinet of Curiosities: An Imaginary Menagerie,’ drew thousands to a well-anticipated event many feared would not happen.

Just a few hours earlier, a hateful act of violence which started just blocks away from the World Trade Center claimed the lives of 8 souls. Six of the unfortunate victims of what is being investigated as an ISIS related terror attack were not American citizens. Neighboring communities were, once again, shocked, at full alert, and tense-filled.

New York City had experienced its deadliest act of terrorism, since September. 11, 2001. But, its residents, law enforcement, and the people who had traveled from afar to visit her, held their own. The parade went on.

I Love New York!
