(December 2, 2017) WinterCon New York Comic and Sci-Fi Expo made its bigger and better return to the Resorts World Casino NY, in Queens. Sci-Fi enthusiasts, super-hero fans, and cross-genre cosplayers were given an entire weekend to expand on their fantasies.

(November 18, 2017) Puerto Rican Heritage Month observances in The Bronx brought together some of the finest of its talents. One such calendar of events organized by the non-profit organization Comité Noviembre has endured for over 30 years. The National Puerto Rican Artisans Fair & Book Expo represents an important part of their mission — “to create awareness of our rich culture, language, and heritage and to acknowledge and take ownership of it every day but specifically during the month of November.”

(April 14, 2017) The big auto event hits the Jacob Javits Convention Center, for the next ten days. The New York International Auto Show 2017 continues to showcase the latest and most exciting automotive innovations to the general public.

(March 25, 2017) The 3rd Annual Women in Comics Con (WinC Con) returned to the Bronx Library Center with a few new faces and a steadfast core. The event showcases (mostly) locally-based artists representing various comic book genres while pressing forth the convention’s initiative of sharing professional experiences, techniques, and industry insights through panel discussions and workshops with the next wave of upcoming talent .
(December 3, 2016) The 2nd Annual Feria de Artesanías helped to promote public support of local businesses and artisans during the holiday buying season. The fair which is sponsored by the Hispanic Federation was held in the Julia de Burgos Latino Cultural Center in El Barrio. Artisans and vendors representing various Latino countries offered up an assortment of handmade arts & crafts, as well as traditional edibles and libations. Members of PRIDA were also presente!
(November 19, 2016) The 11th Annual Comité Noviembre Puerto Rican Artisan Fair & 5th Annual Puerto Rican Book Expo proved to be a highlight for Puerto Rican Heritage Month observances in The Bronx. The various participating artisans, mostly representing the PRIDA collective, brought an eclectic offering of traditional and expressive art & crafts that celebrated and related Puerto Rican heritage and beauty in full rainbow. Workshops on traditional mask making, the history of Los Tres Reyes, and even bomba dancing fundamentals (led by Milteri Tucker) added depth and excitement to the day.
